Every time I walk into school, I get such a sense of energy – it's such a happy, nurturing environment for our children with a strong purpose, led from the top and instilled across the entire team.

Thomas’s does not hide behind a hollow ethos; it is a school that undoubtedly practises what it preaches. Thomas’s is an oasis of unflappable kindness and I departed with the fondest of memories. My next chapter, after Brighton College, an English degree at Oxford, is thanks to the academic curiosity and quiet confidence Thomas’s instills. My teachers were fiercely supportive when I debuted at the Royal Opera House, and the Drama department coached me assiduously towards a Drama scholarship and future professional acting roles. I couldn’t be more grateful for my time at Thomas’s Clapham – I would gladly do it all again.

Children are assisted in developing competent early skills in literacy, numeracy, and communication and language. They become increasingly curious about the world around them.

My children have a happy time at the school. I feel they are academically challenged in a nurturing environment.

For me, what made Thomas's special will always be the people. I look back at the fun and laughter shared with my peers during my time there with such fondness. Today, whether it's through the lifelong friends I have from Thomas’s or simply when you bump into a fellow 1CN classmate in the pub, I am constantly reminded of how friendly and kind each and every ex-pupil is. Returning as a gappy was one of the best things that I have done and it fills me with so much joy to see how Thomas's continues to produce such wonderful people.

Teachers have good subject knowledge and use high-quality resources to enrich pupils’ learning experiences. A rich co-curricular programme supports pupils’ personal development and enables them to develop new skills and interests.
